What is practical astrology?

Astrology is study of past,  present and future with reference to planetary movements in the sky both at the time of birth (horoscope) and at the time of event (Transit). 

Practical astrology is based on the study of same event already happened in different horoscopes that reveal common principle among  them. For example,  if marriage date of ten already married people is analyzed, why marriage took place in that particular dada bhukthi  on that particular date can be found out. The common rule emerging from this finding will alone be used in practical astrology to predict marriage of someone in future. The rules in traditional astrological books,  and in other astrological methods will first be tested to already happened events.  Then only,  if found true and practically applicable,   they will become a part of practical astrology.
