When you observe the sky from a place on earth, the sun and all planets appear to move from east to west against starry passage. The space around the earth, especially 8 degree on both sides of the Sun's path ( ecliptic) is the zodiac.,consisting of 360 degree which is equally divided into twelve signs, each covering 30 degree, from Aries to Pieces.
